Sugarcane EA - Decaffeination process
The Sugarcane EA process (also known as natural ethyl acetate) uses a compound derived from fermented sugarcane to remove caffeine in a gentle and selective way. The sugarcane EA selectively binds to the caffeine molecules and draws them out. Once the target caffeine level is reached, the beans are thoroughly rinsed with water, steamed again to remove any residual EA, and dried back to a stable moisture content.
