About the Producer

Mr. Berhanu Kurse grows coffee in the village of Gotiti, in Ethiopia's Gedeo region, an area renowned for producing some of the country's most celebrated coffees. Coffee has been in his family for generations, and today he works alongside his children to manage the farm, with coffee providing the family's primary source of income.

Single Farmer Project

One of the things we love most about this coffee is that we actually know who grew it.

In Ethiopia, coffees are often blended together at local washing stations, making it difficult to trace a lot back to a single producer. The Single Farmer Project was created to change that, helping individual farmers like Mr. Berhanu Kurse sell fully traceable lots under their own name.

That means better transparency, fairer returns for producers, and the chance for us (and you) to celebrate the person behind the coffee, not just the region it came from.

Recommended for all filter brewing methods & espresso.
